Granite Skywalk

When I first heard about the Granite Skywalk in Western Australia, I instantly knew that it would be added to my itinerary.

The Granite Skywalk is located in the Porongurup National Park, about 40 minutes Northeast of Albany.

It is a 4.7km return trail from the Castle Rock carpark up to the top of the skywalk.

At its peak, Castle Rock is 570 metres above sea level, and the unique viewing platform gives amazing 360 degree views.

Note that although this is not a “difficult” walk, there are sections that involve squeezing through tight spaces and climbing enclosed ladders.  I had a small camera backpack on, but you would not be able to complete with a normal backpack (at least not with it on your back)
