Boronia Peak Halls Gap (Grampians)

One of the great things about staying in Halls Gap is the variety of walks you can do without needing to drive anywhere.  There are other walks throughout the Grampians that you can drive to, but you can start a number of the walks from within Halls Gap itself.  One of these, perhaps less well-known than the likes of Baroka Lookout or The Pinnacle is the walk to the top of Boronia Peak.

The walk starts as an offshoot of the Fyans Creek Loop Walk (a great easy walk in itself, especially in the early morning or evening to take in the wildlife).

The track twists upwards through the forest, taking in some wonderful scenery along the way and culminates in a climb over the rocks at the peak.

I am not sure if this was just the day I was there or not, but it was quite windy at the top, even though it was not a significantly windy day.

It is a wonderful view from the top, looking East out over the Fyans Valley.
