Bright City Lights

Dusk on a country road,
Passing to night on a highway,
Cars passing with lights getting closer,
Then lights going further away.

Occasional towns,
Dim lights in the windows,
Bright lights in shops,
Town comes, town goes.

Darkness apart from the cars,
Light coming, getting closer.
Going away as a different colour,
Out of sight.

Long time driving,
Driving in darkness,
With occasional lights,
Driving with peace and quiet.

City light,
Flash bright,
Neon colours everywhere.
Smoke, smog
CO2,
All pollutants in the air.
Muggings, guns
Shoot,
Bang,
Are we in the robbers lair?
Are we in a world of chaos?
No, it's just a city,
Have a chair.
