Sometimes the road is rocky,
Sometimes the road is rough,
Sometimes this road that we call life,
Is unbelievably tough.
We don’t always see what’s coming
Around each twist and bend.
We don’t know when the downhill starts,
Or when the uphill ends.
And here you now are walking
A road that’s hard to bear.
And all that I can say to you,
My friend, is I am there.
I see you and I know you,
And of you I am so proud.
Step by step and day by day,
May that sentiment be loud.
May my words to you remain the same,
No matter what the road.
And may my friendship be one always,
That helps to share the load.
Because I’m not afraid of walking,
