Revealing Memories

A spoken word reveals the time
Occurrence of a secret crime
That left a tear within an eye
And heart also started to cry
A word unspoken through the night
Left our own fears to give us fright
And when the morning sun appeared
Eyes were left to be red and teared
And when from dreams we do awake
A memory we with us take
A memory and that is all
As from reality we fall
We're trapped within our own constraints
As poet writes and artist paints
And children play without a care
Only a memory that's there.
A smiling face would break the frown
And stop my heart from feeling down
But smiles come from within the heart
And of my life are only part.
Maybe I want to be alone
And about it I should not moan
But loneliness is a curse
You take with you right to the hearse,
They're always there when you can give
They can see through you like a sieve
But then again they're not that bad
They're just like memories I have had.
