Rationality and Love

Love is an emotion which I find hard,
One I find impossible to discard.
Vital to me is the love which I give,
Even though without this love I would live.

Inescapable and yet voluntary,
Seems to be this love which happens to me.

Never do I know when in love I'll fall,
Extreme is my love when I give my all.
Victim of love can only be me,
Everyday and night I'm the one I see,
Remembering thoughts of the day before,

Moving me to tears, more and more and more.
Exciting love is to people somewhere,
Analysing love can be hard to bear,
Not knowing if your love is wrong of right,
To see this you need something more than sight.

Talking love is something I rarely do,
Only receiving love truly from few.

Being careful that I do not get hurt,
Every time makes me feel like I am dirt.

Rational love is a thing hard to find.
Anyone that loves won't be left behind.
Treating love nicely reflects on your life,
In the end it won't bring you any strife.
Once I thought that love would be logical
Not knowing that that's not emotional.
All this comes to a statement not sublime,
Love is not rational all of the time.
